Nabila joined Action for Global Health in July 2022 as a Project Manager covering policy and operations for both AfGH and STOPAIDS and works on AfGH membership expansion, fundraising and policy development. Prior to this Nabila was Network and Development Manager (maternity cover) for STOPAIDS, working on organisational development, M&E and impact, financial management, fundraising and membership.

Nabila has 16 years of experience working in HIV/AIDS and public health with Medecins sans Frontieres (on decentralising care in Malawi’s biggest HIV/AIDS project and on human resources for health (HRH) and as pro bono Strategic Director of a local women’s and girls HIV/AIDS support group network in southern Malawi.

Nabila has also worked in Health Systems Strengthening and improving quality of care in rural clinics in Malawi and palliative care in Rwanda with Doctors Worldwide and helped set up Malawi’s first Covid-19 treatment centre and homecare programme as Outpatient Director.

Nabila is a trustee of the Islamic Health Association of Malawi and founding chair and trustee of the charity Road to Relief and read Philosophy, Politics and Economics at the University of Oxford , MPhil in Social and Political Science from the University of Cambridge and an MSc in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.
