AfGH Launches #HealthyFutures UHC Campaign
Action for Global Health is delighted to launch its new #HealthyFutures Universal Health Coverage Campaign! We’re calling on the UK Government to make the right to health #TrulyUniversal.
Health is a universal right. But across the globe, millions of people are forced to go without.
From people seeking asylum being denied healthcare due to legal status, to people living in poverty being charged astronomical healthcare costs, vulnerable and marginalised groups are being left behind.
This is also evident in conflict zones, where people face huge barriers to accessing essential health services.
So let’s take action.
Sign our letter to Minister of State for Development and Africa, Andrew Mitchell, and Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Victoria Atkins, to call for the right to health to be #TrulyUniversal.
Then encourage your networks to do the same.
By raising the profile of this issue, we can ensure the government takes an equity lens to achieving Universal Health Coverage (UHC). Amplify our campaign on social media using our Toolkit to maximise the number of letters signed.
And share our existing social media content:
The world contains enough resources for everyone, everywhere to access quality, affordable healthcare. We just need the political will to make it a reality.
Let’s call on the government to make the right to health #TrulyUniversal.
