“Action for Global Health is a broad, inclusive and vitally important network, providing members with a platform and combined voice to influence UK government global health policies and shine a light on the impact of UK government decisions. Membership of Action for Global Health is important for Orbis in at least two ways. First, the combined expertise, analysis and insights of Action for Global Health staff and members helps us understand the UK and global health policy and funding landscape. Second, membership enables us to contribute our views and insights within a network that has more capacity and influence than we could ever have on our own.”
– Andrew Wardle, Institutional & Network Lead, Orbis UK

Collaborating with Our Members
From antimalarial school clubs in Ethiopia to the billion people affected by NTDs , we collaborate across our 65 member organisations to spotlight our vision of a world where health equity is achieved and everyone has access to the quality heal care they need without being forced into financial hardship.

“I have been working with many AfGH members to develop an extensive evidence base to advance health systems strengthening in fragile- and conflict-affected settings (FCAS). Around 75% of the world’s extreme poor live in FCAS and our advocacy seeks to increase the UK’s commitment and action to improving sustainable healthcare privision in these particularly challenging contexts.
Through AfGH, we have been able to compile a range of case studies from organisations working across many of these settings and initiate dialogue with the UK government on this important health-humanitarian intersection – at a critical time when the UK government is focusing down on these two priorities.”
– Jieun Lee, Project Manager Commissioned Research / UK Policy and Advocacy Advisor, Impact & Engagement at The George Institute for Global Health
